Capitol Hill

Nestled next to the U.S. Capitol grounds is the charming and historic neighborhood of Capitol Hill. Home to the Eastern Market, this famous neighborhood once contained the most sought after addresses in the United States. The neighborhood is made up of stately row homes with stunning architecture and meticulously planted front gardens, creating a very appealing small-town ambiance.

In addition to the diversity of historic homes, Capitol Hill has a variety of unique shopping and dining opportunities. The Eastern Market is Washington’s last surviving public market and serves as a center for community life, particularly on weekends when the market is alive with farmers and craftspeople selling their goods to the neighborhood residents. A little quieter than other areas of the District, this surprising neighborhood still feels like Baseball and Apple Pie, all this located within a short stroll from the heart of our Nation's government.
